ServiceTracked for

General handyman

Multi-task jobs, one polished quote per visit.

Handyman work is a quote-writing nightmare. A single visit might cover four unrelated tasks (TV mount, ceiling fan install, kitchen faucet replacement, sticky door planed) at four different price tiers - and the homeowner wants a clean total, not a 30-minute scribbled estimate. ServiceTracked solves the multi-task problem. Walk the house with the homeowner, speak each task as you assess ("TV mount on the brick wall, customer providing mount, plan for 45 minutes; ceiling fan replacement in the master, hardwired, hour and a half; faucet swap in the kitchen, an hour with shut-off; doorjamb plane on the closet door, 20 minutes"), and ServiceTracked builds an itemized quote with realistic time and parts estimates per task. The customer-facing report shows each task as a separate line so they can approve the bundle or pick the ones they want. For repeat customers, the customer record tracks what was done and when - making the second visit's quote start from "what's still on the to-do list" rather than from scratch.

Frequently asked

Can I quote a long list of tasks without losing my place?
Yes. Walk the house and speak each task in turn ("task 1: ... task 2: ..."). ServiceTracked extracts each task as a separate line item with its own time + parts estimate.
What about minimum service charges - how do those work?
Configure your trip charge + minimum hours in Settings. If a job's tasks total less than your minimum, ServiceTracked applies the minimum and notes the trip charge as a separate line so the customer sees both.
Can I let the customer pick which tasks to approve?
The customer can accept the whole quote or reply asking to drop / add tasks. At launch the portal does whole-quote acceptance; per-line accept lands in a follow-up release.
What if I find more work once I open up a wall?
Record a quick voice memo describing the additional scope; the app generates an addendum quote that the customer can accept through the same portal. Original + addendum stay linked.
Can I send a single invoice for multiple visits?
At launch each visit is a separate quote / report. A multi-visit invoice rollup is a post-launch feature; the customer record tracks every visit so you can manually total them in the meantime.
